Manny from Fort Construction just finished putting in a new gas line from the street to my house. This was a huge job that required deep digging and breaking up the concrete sidewalk. They had to dig underneath a five foot retaining wall also as the house sits up a slight hillside. The work was meticulous and even the city inspector commented that his crew did a really nice job. His price was reasonable but better yet the quality was amazing. Just remember; long after price is forgotten…quality remains.

In the past Manny has done a side retaining wall for me along with a bathroom remodel, electrical work, plumbing including the main sewer line, air conditioning, replaced our main gas line when it was leaking and we were shut off by The Gas Company, also painting. Manny came out this week to fix some plumbing issues.  As usual, he fixed something that others had tried to fix years ago…we had almost accepted that issue as something we would just have to live with. His work is meticulous and his prices are exceptional.

He remodeled (earlier this year 2014) a bathtub to a shower system so that it would be more accessible for my elderly mother-in-law. He had to do a lot of work to get the piping and concrete done. It was a tough job as there were “concrete flooring issues” that came up unexpectedly.  He also surprised us and added some beautiful tile trim (at no additional cost) to the shower and he added that same trim when he re-tiled the bathroom floor.  He also had our toilet replaced to a low-flow, duel flush system.

He did everything he said he would do and more!  We agreed to the price before the work was done and nothing changed. We put down a small deposit against the total price of $5,000 (which I thought was a great price). He was just fabulous! He was a very skilled and honest tradesman and a hard worker. Every single night during the 6 day job, he left no mess behind. He swept and cleaned up everything. He truly went above and beyond. We were very impressed. I was leery at the start because he runs some nice size ads in the L.A. Times but I couldn’t find much information about him. I asked for and called his references and everyone confirmed his legitimacy and they were all happy with his work

After the bathroom remodel, our home air conditioning system went down during a heat wave.  I called the company that installed the system and they came out and quoted me over $3,000.00 to replace the unit.  I then called Manny to see what his price would be.  He and a helper came out and just replaced some major parts and the cost was under $500.  The air conditioner has been working perfectly since then.

Meni rebuilt my staircase on the side of the house and did a great job. My old staircase was rotting away because of termite damage. He built my new staircase in under a week. Came out great.

Manny repaired everything I needed. He is a genius with all things electrical. Highly recommended!

Manny was honest, fair and reasonable. Did great work in our kitchen .plumbing electric and patched the wall beautifully.  Lovely Man. Plus I called him on Friday so see when he could come out….  the work was finished by noon that Monday!!!!!

I can highly recommend Mani Oz of Breliya Construction (formerly Fort Construction) for his general construction/carpentry skills and his hard work.  He recently tackled a difficult job that another contractor had turned down because the work area was hard to reach.  Manny figured out a way to access the area by building his own custom scaffolding platform and got the job done.  He did some other home improvement work for me as well (replacing/repair dryout jamb door and replacing gutter and fixing roof leak) and everything he did was done skillfully and in a timely manner.
